Opportunities From: League to Save Lake Tahoe - Keep Tahoe Blue

Volunteer: I Love Kings Beach Cleanup

On Wednesday, October 1, join Keep Tahoe Blue and our partners for I Love Kings Beach Day — a community celebration of the Tahoe Blue Beach program’s expansion to the North Shore.

Thanks to the support of the North Tahoe Community Alliance’s TOT-TBID Dollars at Work program, California State Parks, and local partners, Kings Beach hosted its very first pilot season as a Tahoe Blue Beach. Together, we’ve raised the bar for clean, safe, and lake-friendly recreation on Tahoe’s shoreline.

Schedule:

7:00 am: BEBOT robotic beach cleaning (with Desert Research Institute (DRI) and ECO-CLEAN Solutions)8:30 - 10:30 am: Community cleanup (meet at Keep Tahoe Blue table in between lifeguard tower and Event Center)11:00 am - 1:00 pm – Celebration with presentation of the season (location TBA – somewhere exciting in Kings Beach)

For the cleanup, be sure to bring: Full reusable water bottle, Sunscreen, Cleanup gloves (if you have them), Hat, sunglasses, comfortable clothing and shoes, Any snacks you would like.

We will provide: Cleanup materials (gloves, bags, etc.), Gloves, and Hand Sanitizer

Come celebrate this milestone for North Lake Tahoe. From innovative technology to community-powered cleanups, the Tahoe Blue Beach program is showing what’s possible when we work together to Keep Tahoe Blue.
