
After Tahoe’s celebrated July Fourth festivities, our beaches are covered with trash, which can hurt wildlife and lake clarity. Each year, Tahoe residents and visitors turn out for our largest cleanup of the year to remove litter from Lake Tahoe's shores. You can help Keep Tahoe Blue by volunteering at a beach cleanup site!
When: Sunday, July 5
Time: 8:00 am - 11:30 am
Be sure to bring:
- Full reusable water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Cleanup gloves (if you have them)
- Hat, sunglasses, comfortable clothing and shoes
- Any snacks you would like
We provide:
- Cleanup materials (gloves, bags, etc.)
- Gloves/hand sanitizer
- Refreshments
- Cool giveaways

Site location information: Lakeview Commons Beach
How to get there: From Highway 50, head west on Lakeview Avenue, turn left onto Harrison Ave, there's a free parking lot on Harrison Ave between Lakeview Ave and San Jose Ave.
Parking Information: The free parking lot has limited spaces, if it fills up there's another free parking lot at Regan Beach (driving down Lakeview Ave from Hwy 50, you'll turn right onto Sacramento St). Carpool if possible, and arrive early, parking spots fill up quickly on the weekends!
Meeting location: Look for the pop-up tent next to the concessionaire stand.

Please note that Keep Tahoe Blue offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4. During this time, we may not be able to respond promptly to email inquiries as staff will be preparing for the event.
If you have trouble registering online, don't let that stop you from joining us! Simply come to any cleanup site using the parking and meeting location information provided, and our staff will be happy to get you checked in and registered at the volunteer check-in station. Friends and family are welcome, so feel free to invite others to join you in helping protect Lake Tahoe.
