Join Keep Tahoe Blue and fellow trained Eyes on the Lake volunteers for a morning survey at Nevada Beach. This opportunity is designed for Eyes on the Lake volunteers who have completed a training, are current Tahoe Keepers, and have access to a kayak or paddleboard.
During this survey day, volunteers will work in small groups to practice aquatic invasive species identification skills and help monitor Lake Tahoe's shoreline for potential threats.

Location: Nevada Beach
Parking: Please note that volunteers are responsible for paying any applicable parking fees.
Prerequisites: Eyes on the Lake Training and Tahoe Keepers.
What to Bring:
- Kayak or paddleboard with a current Nevada AIS decal ($6)
- Personal flotation device (including PFD/life vest)
- Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.)
- Swimsuit
- Towel
- Full, reusable water bottle
- Any snacks you may want
- Snorkel gear (if you have it)
What to Wear: Clothing appropriate for spending the morning on and around the water including a swimsuit and sun-protective layers
What We Will Provide: Survey guidance and support from Keep Tahoe Blue's Eyes on the Lake staff
What You'll Be Doing:
- Surveying designated areas of Nevada Beach
- Practicing aquatic invasive species identification
- Contributing valuable monitoring data that helps protect Lake Tahoe
