Join Keep Tahoe Blue for an engaging evening exploring how plastic pollution impacts the Tahoe Basin and what scientists are doing to better understand the problem. This special Speaker Series event will feature a panel discussion with experts from 5 Gyres, the University of Nevada, Reno, Keep Tahoe Blue, and the Tahoe Rim Trail Association. Attendees will learn about an upcoming Tahoe Rim Trail research expedition that will collect data on litter and microplastic pollution in the Basin. Volunteers will help create a welcoming experience for guests by assisting with event setup, check-in, refreshments, and cleanup.
