Join us at our Keep Tahoe Blue outreach table at the Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival!
Are you passionate about the environment and helping Keep Tahoe Blue? Sign up for a shift to help outreach to the community about the work the League is doing and ways to Keep Tahoe Blue. Our theme this year is Lake Tahoe vs. Plastics and our booth will be centered around our litter initiatives, cleanups and a hands on activity for people to learn about plastics. This will be a fun, free community event with food, music, and Earth Day activities.
Time: Shift 1: 11 am - 1 pm ; Shift 2: 1 - 3 pm ; Shift 3: 3 - 5 pm
What to bring: Comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate layers, Keep Tahoe Blue gear if you have it, a full reusable water bottle and snacks.
We provide: Training, name tag, refreshments and gift.
More about the Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival
One of the largest Earth Day celebrations in the region, this free community event will take place at The Village at Palisades Tahoe from 11 am – 5 pm on Saturday, April 20. The event gives kids and adults the opportunity to learn about recycling, composting, alternative energy, and sustainability through hands-on activities the whole family can enjoy.
This event is a community tradition to learn about sustainable products and services offered by local organizations and businesses, meet with local nonprofits that share Earth Day values (like the League!), and to showcase local musicians, artists, and entertainers. Our goal is to connect the community with the people and resources in our region that foster innovation, initiate change, and ultimately implement an equitable partnership for a greener planet.
